Big Bear Family Medicine provides high-quality women’s health services for individuals throughout the Big Bear community, with a focus on accessible, respectful, and affordable care. We also offer select family medicine services through limited clinic availability and telehealth appointments.

After-hours care: If you have an urgent medical concern outside of clinic hours, please contact 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Big Bear Family Medicine is a community-focused health clinic dedicated to improving access to women’s health care in Big Bear. Our mission is to provide safe, compassionate, and comprehensive care for women at every stage of life, while also offering select family health services to support the broader community.
◆Our services
We offer a range of women’s health, preventive, and primary care services, including:
- Women’s health and preventive screenings
- Family planning services
- Prenatal care
- Postpartum care and follow-up
- Cancer screening services through state programs
- Preventive care and wellness visits
- Limited family medicine and primary care services
- Telehealth appointments for select family health needs
Some services may be offered through referral or coordinated care with local hospitals and specialists.
◆Urgent needs and emergencies
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room immediately.
For urgent medical concerns during clinic hours, we do our best to accommodate same-day needs. Walk-in patients are triaged to ensure that those with urgent conditions receive prompt attention.
◆Insurance and payment
We are accepting UHC, Aetna, Health Net, IEHP, Medi-Cal, and Medicare at this time with affordable self-pay options for other plans.
We are also working on the following for un- or under-insured individuals:
- Every Woman Counts (free women’s cancer screenings)
- Family Pact (free contraceptive services)
- Vaccines for Children (free vaccines)

We welcome new patients. Please bring a photo ID and insurance card (if applicable) to your first visit.
